Fire burns down Lodi shed
Fire destroys farm equipment
LODI, Wis. — Columbia County fire crews battled a shed fire that started Saturday morning in Lodi.
A shed was on fire near Highway 113 about 10:30 a.m. Fire crews said about 350 bales of hay were inside, along with an estimated $500,000 in farm equipment.
Fire officials said the heat required extra assistance.
“The fire is pretty well contained at this point. We are doing overhaul operations due to the amount of hay that was in the shed. It’s going to take a pretty long time to extinguish all of that,” said Lodi Fire Chief John Griffing.
Fire officials said no one was hurt.
Authorities said everything inside the building was a total loss.
