Feingold ‘troubled’ by Clinton’s email use
U.S. Senate hopeful Russ Feingold says he’s troubled by Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
Feingold, a Democrat, is challenging Republican incumbent Ron Johnson this fall. He told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that she shouldn’t have used the server but she’s done many other good things during her career.
Feingold also said Johnson is using his position as chairman of the Senate homeland security committee to prolong the issue for political gain. Johnson sent a letter to FBI Director James Comey asking for information on the agency’s investigation into Clinton’s server use.
Wisconsin GOP executive director Mike Duffey criticized Feingold during a conference call with reporters Thursday for failing to condemn Clinton’s actions and said Johnson is holding Washington insiders accountable.
