Families gather for Verona’s Hometown Days this weekend
Organizers say this year has strong turnout
VERONA, Wis. — The city of Verona welcomed area resident its annual Hometown Days this weekend.
Local families got the chance to enjoy the carnival atmosphere of the event.
There was question if this festival would survive. Since January, Brave Enterprises has worked with the city to make sure the celebration continued.
Organizers said that turnout this year has been off the charts.
“We know we already topped our profits from the years’ past in the first two nights. So, we know the community’s very much supporting it,” said organizer Michelle Page-Alswager.
The event will be open until 6 p.m. at Hometown Park.
