FAA investigates plane crash near Spring Green
Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister tells News 3 no one was injured in a plane crash west of Spring Green Thursday night.
Sauk County dispatch says they got a call just before 8:30 p.m. reporting a plane crash at the end of Mercer Road.
Officials said Michael D. Ramos, 58, of Dodgeville, reported having engine trouble shortly after taking off and said he would not make it back to the runway, so he made an emergency landing in a cornfield just south of the airport.
Ramos was not injured and the plane sustained minor damage. There were no passengers in the plane.
The incident is under investigation by the FAA.
