Evelyn I. “Evie” Hauser
MADISON-Evelyn I. “Evie” Hauser, age 96, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She was born on April 3, 1916, in the Town of Blue Mounds, the daughter of Ole and Clara (Tofsrude) Lee, formerly Bangslein.
She married Clarence Hauser on Feb. 20, 1937. Evie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a wonderful baker and an amazing cook. Evie enjoyed her coffee and playing cards. She was a loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma, and she touched the lives of many people over the years.
Evie is survived by her daughter, Karen (Myron) Vedvik of Green Bay; grandchildren, Mark (Tina) Vedvik and their children, Kenda and Kali, Trina (Jeff) Robshaw and their children, Jonathan and Lilianna, and Kevin (Nicole) Vedvik and their children, Hailey and Sophia; sister, Vivian Zumkehr of Madison; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence; son, John; and siblings, Obert Lee, Nora Rolf, Arthur Lee, Marvin Lee, Bernice Dvorak, and Vern Lee.
Funeral services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago Street, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2012, with the Rev. Miriam Hull presiding. Private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday. A special thank you to the staff at Marla Vista Manor in Green Bay for all their loving care.
