Evelyn E. Kosharek
Evelyn E. Kosharek, age 89, of Highland, died on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab following a long illness. Evelyn was born on September 13, 1922 in Castle Rock Township to William and Elizabeth (Elliott) Grimm and was a graduate of the Highland High School. She married LaVern Kosharek on June 25, 1947. The couple farmed in Castle Rock Township until retiring to Highland in the early 90’s. Evelyn was a member of Ss. Anthony & Philip Parish and the Altar Society. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVern on July 17, 1993; her parents, William and Elizabeth Grimm; in-laws, Aldro and Christine Kosharek; daughters-in-law, Donna and Diane Kosharek; brothers, Bernard “Red” (Ann) Grimm and Ronald “Mick” Grimm and his wives, Martha and Cec Grimm and brothers-in-law, Richard Ford; Al (Betty) Kosharek and Melvin Kosharek. Evelyn is survived by her son, Dennis of Highland and his children, Tammy (Tim) Thielorn of Highland and Denise (Doug) Klingaman of Richland Center; her son, Doug (fiancé, Robben) of Highland and his children, Rob (fiancé, Kim) of Linden; Andy of Highland and Sara (Craig) Gilbertson of Spring Green; five great grandchildren, Tatum and Liam Thielorn; Payton Klingaman; Dylan Gruber and Destiny and Madison Gilbertson; a sister, Mary Kosharek of Highland; and in-laws, Virgil (Rosie) Kosharek of Highland; Jean (Ray) Michek of Highland; Don (Mary) Kosharek of West Allis and Camille Ford of West Allis as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Ss. Anthony & Philip Catholic Church in Highland. Fr. Kenneth J. Frisch will celebrate with burial in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Upland Hills Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
Evelyn’s family would like to thank the staff of Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab and Upland Hills Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to her during her stay with them.
