Eva A. Schilling
Eva A. Schilling, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Our House in Baraboo.
She was born in Dane on January 8, 1922 to the late Alois and Linda (Madigan) Karls. She married Herbert V. Ruhland on October 3, 1990, he preceded her in death on April 9, 1994. Eva was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Aloysius School, St. Vincent DePaul and was always more than willing to lend a hand. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, dancing and polka, going to garage sales, spending time and socializing with friends and family.
She is survived by her 6 children; William (Sue) Schilling, of Waunakee, Thomas Schilling of Plain, Robert Schilling of Lodi, Mary (Jim) Heimbecker of Lodi, Cynthia (Kim) Schmidtke of Wisconsin Dells, Rachelle (Dan) Rathman of Baraboo; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; 3 siblings, “Punk” (LouAnne) Karls, Helen (Roger) Ripp, and Tonie (Jerry) Ripp; further survived by many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Herbert; she was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Faye Bales and Evertt Schilling; 4 siblings, James Karls, Adele Meade, Mike Karls and Rosie Helgerson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison St., Sauk City. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City from 10:00 am until 11:15 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
