ESPN: Matt Kenseth may not race in 2018
Wis. native: "probably time to do something else"
FORT WORTH, Texas — Matt Kenseth could be hanging up his car keys come 2018.
ESPN reports the Cambridge, Wis. NASCAR racer has no plans to drive next year, saying it is “probably time to go do something different.”
Kenseth said he wouldn’t commit to anything for 2018 Saturday at the Texas Motor Speedway, according to ESPN.
Kenseth won the NASCAR Cup back in 2013. In July, Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Erik Jones would take over the #20 Toyota next season.
The 45-year-old Kenseth has 38 career wins, and he won the Cup championship in 2003.
Kenseth is winless in 2017, and he was eliminated from the playoffs October 22nd at Kansas Speedway.
