Election Day forecast: Rain, 70 percent turnout
Numerous offices up for grabs
MILWAUKEE — The National Weather Service predicts voters likely will be greeted by rain and 40 degree temperatures across much of Wisconsin on Election Day.
Despite the dreary forecast, the Government Accountability Board expects that nearly 70 percent of the state’s 4.35 million eligible voters will go to the polls on Tuesday. They will be choosing a president, U.S. senator, their representatives in the House and state legislators.
In the presidential race, President Barack Obama and GOP candidate Mitt Romney are seeking to win battleground Wisconsin’s coveted 10 electoral votes.
