Elaine Robbins Beyer
Madison – Elaine Robbins Beyer, age 78, died on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at University Hospital. She was born on August 22, 1933 in Union, Maine, the daughter of William and Doris (Messer) Robbins.
She graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She worked as a registered nurse her entire career in Madison as well as volunteering at Agrace HospiceCare. She married James Beyer on April 9, 1955 in Union, Maine.
In addition to her husband Professor James Beyer, she is survived by four children, James (Kathryn) Beyer of Monona, Jean (Steve) Tomasko of Middleton, MaryAnn (Randy) Schmidt of Midland, MI and Gretchen (John) Barmore of Milwaukee; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at HOLY WISDOM MONASTERY, 4200 County Hwy M, Middleton on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Al Majkrzak officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Monastery. Inurnment will take place at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon at a later date.
Elaine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
