Editorial: Why you should plan for coronavirus instead of panic
MADISON, Wis. — Like many of you our editorial board and yes our company are keeping a close eye on health reports regarding the coronavirus.
We’re paying special attention to the responses and recommendations of health care professionals, and their advice continues to be plan but don’t panic. We believe that is the most responsible editorial message as well.
There is a growing list of institutions, businesses and government offices updating their internal and external communications and strategies in the event of evidence of the disease spreading here. Experts say so far that risk remains low. But we appreciate the Madison and Dane County health departments, Madison School District, and especially state and U.W. scientists and researchers keeping the public informed about what is known and how we should respond. We’ll do our best to share accurate and helpful information. We all need to have plans just in case. We don’t need to panic.
