Editorial: MCF Year of Giving grant to amplify Madison
MADISON, Wis. — As the Madison Community Foundation’s celebratory Year of Giving enters the home stretch, this month’s grant aims at strengthening a couple of Greater Madison’s greatest assets, our nonprofits and our women leaders in the nonprofit sector.
Coordinated by YWCA Madison, the $75,000 project called Amplify Madison will support leadership training and skills building for 24 women, nominated by nonprofits, to encourage professional development and build capacity.
The YWCA is well-positioned to lead the project with its history of programming excellence and its commitment to the social justice component of its mission. And the Madison Community Foundation once again demonstrates the community impact potential of targeted investment in Madison and its people. That’s a powerful combination and we applaud the strategy and anticipate meaningful results.
