Crusaders rally for 8-2 win at LaBahn
MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Edgewood boys hockey team moved into first place in the Badger South conference standings with an 8-2 win over Monona Grove at LaBahn Arena on the UW Campus Tuesday night.
MG’s high-scoring Johnston brothers, Zachary and Travis, got the Silver Eagles out to a 2-1 lead in the first period.
But the Crusaders Mark Zanoya tied the game with a power play goal, then off a turnover, Ryan Conybear stole the puck and scored what proved to be the game winner.
Edgewood added five more goals to make the final 8-2.
The Crusaders, MG and Oregon are all tied for first place in the Badger South with 6-2 records.
