Edgewood scores six unanswered to beat Madison West
Tuesday at LaBahn Arena, the Edgewood Crusaders boys hockey team fell into a 1-0 first period hole, and then rattled off six straight goals to beat Madison West 6-1.
In the first period, the Regents captured their only lead of the contest. Drake Baldwin scored on a rebound to make it 1-0 West.
By the second period, the game was tied 1-1, and Edgewood really stepped on the gas. Grant Reichenbacher scored a shorthanded breakaway goal to give the Crusaders the lead. Moments later, Blake Richter altered a shot to score and make it 3-1.
Reichenbacher led the Crusaders with three goals as Edgewood cruised to a 6-1 victory. With the win, they improved their record to 2-3-1.
