MADISON, Wis. — Edgewood College has been named a “Top Ten” Military Friendly School for the 2020-2021 school year.

According to the news release, the university has earned the designation for each of the last 10 years, but this year marks the first time that Edgewood has received a “Top Ten” national ranking.

“This designation exemplifies the commitment Edgewood College has made to welcome and support student veterans and their families in our community,” said Director of Military and Veterans Services Matthew J. Schroeder ’07.

Schools were evaluated using public data and survey responses. Over 1,000 schools participated in the survey, with 695 of them earning the designation.

The Military Friendly Advisory Council, which is comprised of higher education and military recruitment community members, provided input to help determine other criteria.

The final ratings were decided through the survey scores and assessment of each institution’s ability to meet certain thresholds such as graduation rates and job placement.

The full list of military friendly schools can be found here. The list will also be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine.
