Edgewood announces new athletic complex
Edgewood High School will break ground on a new $1.5 million dollar outdoor athletic complex thanks to a million dollar gift from the Goodman Foundation.
The “Goodman Athletic Complex” will provide new artificial turf and running surfaces for track, football, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee teams at Edgewood.
The Goodman Foundation provided a gift of just over a million dollars. Other donors include the Wahlin Foundation, Inc., Park Bank, the Heggenbarth and Senty families, pro golfer Jerry Kelly and his wife Carol, an anonymous donation from an Edgewood family and additional support provided by Kevin and Sheila Conroy.
Edgewood president Michael Elliott says “this is a game changer for Edgewood and the Madison community.”
