Edgerton woman arrested for 7th offense OWI

EDGERTON, Wis. — Janesville police say a woman in a single vehicle traffic accident was under the influence of narcotics.

Police were dispatched to the area of East Milwaukee Street and Blackhawk. Witnesses say a black BMW east on Milwaukee Street veered off to the right and hit a tree. Once on scene, officers found Sharron L. Metek, 44, of Edgerton. According a news release, police also found drug paraphernalia in the car.

Metek was taken into custody and treated at Mercy Hospital for an unrelated medical issue. She now faces a OWI 7th offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and apprehension request through Department of Corrections.
