Edgar W. Friedli
Age 90, a long time resident of Clarno Township, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. Edgar was born April 5, 1922 in Monroe, the son of Edwin O. and Rose (Walters) Friedli. Edgar farmed with his brothers in Clarno Township all of his life.
He is survived by four sisters, Rosabel “Rosie” Babler of Monroe, Lorraine (Jerome) Tollakson of Argyle, Mary Ames of Loves Park, IL, and Barbara (James) Kirkland of Dunedin, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Scheider; three brothers, Raymond, Tony, and Robert E. Friedli; brothers-in-law, Richard Ames and Robert Babler; a niece, Laura Ames; a great-niece, Corina Voegeli-Burton; and a great-nephew, Austin Blum.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Reverend Randy Booth officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m until the time of service.
