Eastbound lane of Femrite Drive to close starting Monday
MADISON, Wis. — The eastbound lane of Femrite Drive will be closed at the Interstate 39/90 overpass starting at 7 a.m. Monday and remain closed until Dec. 31, according to a news release from the City of Madison Traffic Engineering Division.
Although eastbound traffic will be closed, westbound traffic will still run along Femrite Drive. A detour will direct eastbound traffic to use Agriculture Drive to Buckeye Road.
“This closure is needed to install underground utilities under Femrite Drive prior to the start of WisDOT’s (Wisconsin Department of Transportation) Interstate/Beltline interchange work, which will begin in spring 2020,” the news release said.
Businesses along Femrite Drive will still be accessible during the closure via Agriculture Drive and the Interstate Overpass.
