Driver suffers serious injuries after Dodge County crash

TOWNSHIP OF ELBA, Wis. — One person suffered serious injuries after a crash Saturday afternoon on State Highway 16/60.

According to a news release, officials responded to a crash near O’Conner Road in the Township of Elba shortly before 2 p.m.

The release said a SUV was driving east while another SUV was driving west and both collided near the center roadway line.

The driver of the SUV driving east suffered serious injuries and was taken to Columbus Hospital before being flown to UW Hospital by MedFlight.

The driver of the SUV driving west was taken to Columbus Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

State Highway 16/60 was closed for about two hours during the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
