Driver crashes into tree, suspected of drug use
Man denied drug use, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man who drove his car into a tree on Odana Road is suspected of taking drugs, according to a release from Madison police.
Witnesses told police they saw a car weaving across traffic lanes along Odana Road before 3 p.m. Saturday, and one reported seeing the driver slumped over the wheel and unconscious.
The car left the road and crashed into a tree, and the driver was revived by paramedics by using Narcan, police said.
Marcin Staszak Jr., 30, denied drug use. Police said a syringe was found in the car.
Staszak was arrested on suspicion of fourth-offense operating under the influence, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping and failure to keep a vehicle under control.
