Driver, 83, killed in Dodge Co. crash
2 others injured in collision Wednesday
THERESA, Wis. — Two people were injured and a third killed in a crash in the Town of Theresa, Wis., Wednesday, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash occurred in the intersection of highways TW and AY when authorities say Eugene Blecha, 83, was traveling eastbound on TW and failed to yield the right of way for a vehicle traveling southbound on AY, driven by Ryan Dittberner, 21, of rural Lomira, Wis.
Blecha died at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as a result of his injuries after being transported there by Flight for Life. His passenger Ruth Blecha, 80, was taken by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Dittberner suffered minor injuries, was treated at the scene and released.
All three parties were wearing their seat belts. The department said it is still investigating the crash.
The Town of Theresa is about 20 miles east of Beaver Dam, Wis.
