Dorothy L. Dreger
Dorothy L. Dreger, age 86, of Verona passed away peacefully in her home after a short illness on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, with the days preceding her death filled with all her family, prayer and music.
Dorothy was born on July 25, 1926, in Westport, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Walker) Doerfer. On August 9, 1945, Dorothy was united in marriage to Eugene Dreger. Dorothy was a lifetime member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Things that were important to her were faith and family, fishing, bowling with Cecilia, her garden, playing cards with friends, avid Brewers, Badgers, and Packers Fan.
Dorothy will be dearly missed by her eight children, Dennis (Diane) Dreger, Karen (Tom) Henn, Robert (Kristine) Dreger, Marilyn Dreger (Tom Demke), Nancy (Bruce) Culver, Guy (Laura) Dreger, Judy (Paul) Hegge, Lori Brown; eighteen grandchildren, Jay Dreger, Wendy Collins, Melissa Fry, Jason Henn, Laura Juckem, Amanda Dreger, Kyle Lease, Amy Hutter, Dan Haag, Kevin Dreger, Tim Dreger, Dana Dreger, Jake Hegge, Josh Hegge, Katie Purkapile, Carly Brown, Jamie Brown, Devin Brown; eight great-grandchildren, Travis Collins, Hailey Collins, Christopher Fry, Noah Fry, Jaelin Henn, Tyler Henn, Blake Juckem, and Julia Juckem.
She is also survived by her sister, Betty Arians and Lorraine Steele and her sister-in-law, Marion Doerfer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Donald Doerfer, and her great-grandson, Ryan Juckem.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012, at ST. ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N. Main Street, Verona with Fr. William Vernon presiding. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona, with a rosary service to be held at 8 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery after the service.
