Dorothy Ann Seeman
JANESVILLE—- Dorothy “Tootie” Ann Seeman, age 85, of Janesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born in Janesville on July 12, 1927, the daughter of Carl and Doris (Schumacher) Pahl. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and was a longtime church member. Dorothy married Marvin Seeman in the Town of Center on March 29, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1992. She had worked for the Red Cross during WWII, and had been employed by Krause’s Town & Country Restaurant.
Dorothy is survived by her 4 children: Nancy (Michael) Turner of Evansville, Ronald (Joan) Seeman, Marlene (Steven) Creed and Sharon (James) Madonna all of Janesville; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Evelyn Reynolds of Chester, VA, and Joan (David) Conover of Rockford, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 45 years, Marvin; infant daughter, Patsy Lea; brother, Richard Pahl, and 3 sisters: Betty Pahl, June Wuthrich and Martha Thrall.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Daniel Decker officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Center Township. Lasting Memorials may be made to ECHO, 65 S.
