Donna Mae Labrenz
Donna Mae Labrenz (nee Tracy), age 83 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Sunday, March 2, 2014 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Craig Wolfgram officiating. Visitation will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Donna was born January 21, 1931 in Tomah, Wisconsin the daughter of Ervin “Bud” and Herta (Schultz) Tracy. She had attended schools in the Wyeville, Adams-Friendship and Wisconsin Dells areas. In October of 1953 she married Herman Labrenz in Dubuque, Iowa. Her working career began as a jail matron for the Columbia County Jail and when a position arose for a Wisconsin Dells police dispatcher, she took that where she worked for the next 13 years and retired from. She was a member of the Wisconsin Dells Kiwanis Club and served as a secretary for many years. She contributed many volunteer hours at St. Clare Hospital, the Kilbourn Public Library and Neenah Creek Elementary School. Donna cherished her family and extended family, traveling with her husband, reading and watching hummingbirds.
Donna is survived by her sons, Patrick (Marilyn) Wharry of Shorewood, Illinois and David (Deb) Labrenz of Oxford, Wisconsin; a daughter, Carla (Jeff) Jermier of Wisconsin Dells; stepbrothers, Eugene “Skip” (Mary) Knudson and Gary Knudson; step children, Don (Barbara) Labrenz and Shirley Marshall both of Wisconsin Dells; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepmother, Oda Tracy; brother, Norman Tracy; grandson, Ryan Labrenz and a stepgranddaughter, Jennifer Egnaty.
The family offers special thanks to the Our House Residential Facility, Wisconsin Dells Ambulance and St. Clare Hospital for their continuous kind and compassionate care given to Donna.
