Donald F. Disch
JANESVILLE—Donald F. Disch, age 85, of Janesville, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Huntington Place, Janesville. He was born in Montecello on December 6, 1926, the son of Henry and Cecile Leonce (Anderson) Disch. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army from June 1945 until November 1946, serving in the European Theater. He married Margaret Conway on June 2, 1951, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Janesville. Don worked as a Purchasing Agent for GMAD until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Elks Club, VFW and was active in the Golden K’s.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret; 4 children: Phillip (Deborah) Disch of Shanghai, China, Annette (Eddie) Pile of Auburn, GA, Cindy (Steve) Jordan of Janesville and Linda (Kerry) Johnson of Waukesha; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; Charlene Gilbertson of Brodhead and Becky (Dennis) Collins of Manitowoc; and 3 brothers; Robert Disch of Beloit, Rex (Ila) Disch of Brodhead and Daryl (Joan) Disch of Evansville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Disch; and a grandchild, Jesse Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Janesville with Rev. Stephen J. Umhoefer officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
