Dolores D Quinn
JANESVILLE–Dolores D. Quinn, age 97, of Janesville, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Manor, Footville.
She was born in Dickeyville on Nov. 4, 1916, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Timmerman) Kowalski. Dolores married Eugene F. Quinn on June 24, 1950, in Cuba City. Gene preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1982. After their children were raised, she worked seasonally at Libby Foods. She was a long-time member and volunteer at St. William Catholic Church.
Dolores is survived by her 3 daughters: Kathleen (Dick) Gittus of Beaver Dam, Barbara (John) Parks of Stevens Point, and Janet (Fred) Riederer of Waunakee; 6 grandchildren: Bridget (Marshall) Shaver, Ryan and Meghan Parks, Dan Hasson, Andrew and Angela Riederer; 4 great grandchildren: Elaina, Sicilia, and Owen Shaver, and Marya Cintron-Parks; 2 brothers, Eugene (Rita) Kowalski and Isadore (Diane) Kowalski both of Cuba City; and a sister, Bernadette (Virgil) Jansen of Hazel Green. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Bruce Hasson; 3 brothers: Norbert, Victor, and LeRoy Kowalski; and a sister, Ramona Bode.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville, with Fr. John Auby and Fr. Tom Marr officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH. Memorial donations may be made to St. William Catholic School. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY is assisting the family.
