Dog’s leg fractured in two-car crash
Driver of one car taken to hospital for evaluation
JANESVILLE, Wis. — One person was injured and a dog was sent to the hospital with a fractured leg following a two car crash near Janesville Sunday, according to the Janesville Fire Department.
The accident happened just before noon in the southbound lanes of Interstate 39/90 south of the US 14 interchange.
According to fire officials, one car rolled over in the crash and came to rest in the median. The driver of that car, Joyce Guilfoil of Madison, had to be extricated from the car and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville for further evaluation.
The driver’s dog was taken to an emergency veterinary clinic by the Janesville Police Department.
The other driver, Wail Nasr of Hamtramck, Michigan, was not hurt in the accident.
