DNR wants input on Green Bay-area properties
DNR seeking input on master plan for Green Bay properties
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is seeking public input on a new master plan for properties along the western shore of Green Bay.
The agency has developed a draft plan for the properties, which include wildlife, fisheries and state natural areas. The plan calls for continued management of coastal wetlands, protecting fish habitat, improvements to an existing shooting range and developing more opportunities for shore fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, hiking, cross-country skiing and paddling.
The DNR has scheduled a public meeting on the plan for Jan. 29 in Oconto. Agency staff will give an overview of the plan and take questions. People also can offer comments through the DNR’s website through Feb. 28.
