DNR hosting Day of Discovery as part of Wisconsin Science Festival

MADISON, Wis. – The Department of Natural Resources is holding a Day of Discovery Saturday, part of the Wisconsin Science Festival.

The Science by the River event will be held at Ben Hansen Park in Wisconsin Rapids from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attendees can walk or bike along a river trail, and enjoy educational booths and hands-on demonstrations.

The DNR will also host events at Lyons Park Shelter and B’s Taphouse.

At Lyons Park, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees can learn how to identify wildlife tracks and make clay models.

At B’s Taphouse, from noon to 3 p.m., attendees can learn about mussel ecology in the Wisconsin River.
