Dispute at Madison men’s shelter leads to arrest

One man was arrested and another remains at large after a dispute at a men’s shelter, according to Madison police.

Police said a 42-year-old man was beaten Sunday night after two men cut in front of him in a line to get into the men’s shelter at Grace Episcopal Church on W. Washington Avenue.

Ronnie Scott, 20, was arrested Tuesday on a tentative charged of battery. A second man has been identified, and police said they are looking for him.

None of the men involved in the incident has a permanent address.
