Diane E. Adams
Diane E. Adams, age 81, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Milwaukee on July 4, 1932, the daughter of Clarke and Elaine (Runice) Coy. Diane was raised in Vernon County and she graduated from Viroqua High School. She attended Vernon County Normal School and graduated from UW Whitewater. Diane married Frederick F. Adams on Aug. 4, 1955 in Viroqua. They moved to Janesville in 1958 where she worked for the Janesville School District for 26 years as a Teacher, Home-School Coordinator and Teacher’s aide. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, the VFW Auxiliary and JAREA. Diane also volunteered for Mercy Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Red Cross and Breakfast Club.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; 2 children, Laurie Adams of Janesville, and Scott (Wendy) Adams of Huntington, IN; 2 grandchildren, Jordan (Lyndsey) Adams of Chicago, and Courtney Adams of Huntington, IN; a sister-in-law, Elaine Coy of Austin, TX; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Coy; 2 brothers, Richard and Arthur Coy; and a sister, Claudette (Larry) Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at CARGILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Krista Deede officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at CARGILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Home Health United Hospice. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY is assisting the family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of both Home Health United and Home Health United Hospice as well as the staff of Home Instead for the loving care given to their family.
