Deputies look for van involved in hit-and-run crash

Green County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a van that was involved in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday night in the town of Monroe, according to a release.

Deputies responded around 11:15 p.m. to the interchange at highways 11 and 81 for reports of a hit-and-run crash, officials said.

Kenneth L. Linck, 71, of Janesville, was driving east on Highway 11, and as he moved to the left lane, his vehicle was struck by an eastbound van that was merging onto Highway 11, according to the release.

The driver of the van briefly stopped, but then fled the scene, officials said. The van is described as silver with a temporary license plate that was partly torn off.

Linck was not injured.

Officials ask anyone with information on the crash or the van involved to call 608-328-9400.
