MADISON, Wis. — Workers in Wisconsin could have more opportunities to train for their jobs.
The Department of Workforce Development handed out nearly $700,000 grants Wednesday meant to fund training programs that benefit employers, workers and communities statewide.
Seven employers received grants along with nearly 400 individuals. The grants are part of the state’s Fast Forward program and range from $5,000 to $400,000.
DWD said it would be awarding more grants for training programs in the coming months.
