Dense fog to affect Monday morning commute
MADISON, Wis. — Thick fog may affect the Monday morning commute as a dense fog advisory is in effect for much of Wisconsin.
Visibilities are as low as a quarter-mile or less in some areas, including Madison, where visibility was near zero as of 5 a.m.
Visibilities were at a quarter-mile or less near Watertown, Janesville and Monroe, and at a half-mile near Platteville.
Drivers are urged to plan ahead for their morning commute, drive slowly and allow for extra time until visibilities improve.
The dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Once the fog burns off, another warm and humid day is expected, with highs reaching the 80s in the Madison area.
