Delores Rose Motiff
DeForest Delores Rose Motiff, age 87, of DeForest, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Artisan Assisted Living.
She was born February 25, 1927 in Madison, the daughter of William and Ottilia (Geier) Kaltenberg. She married Robert Motiff in 1948 and he preceded her in death in February 2004 after 55 years of marriage.
Delores was a caregiver much of her life; taking care of her siblings after their mother died; her father in his later years; and raising five children while Bob was on the road for work. Once they purchased their own business, K-M Cooler Service. she worked side by side with Bob. Delores was a very good gardener, and loved working in her flower, vegetable and strawberry gardens. She was also a wonderful seamstress, sewing many of her children’s clothes and was very crafty. She will be remembered as a spunky lady whose sense of humor kept her family laughing. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren; and could always be counted on.
Delores is survived by five children, Barb (Glen) Junge, Ed (Sharon) Motiff, Kathy (Rich) Trotta, Deb Motiff, Bob (Sarah) Motiff; thirteen grandchildren, Scot, Shelly, Tim, Angela, Eddie, Curt, Jeff, Katie, Alyssa, Jared, Ryan, Hannah, Kai; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She is further survived by a brother, Norbert Kaltenberg, sister, Virginia Dickman; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kaltenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; four brothers, an infant, Billy, Robert “Butch’, Clarence and John Kaltenberg; two sisters-in-law, Doris and Helen Kaltenberg and brother in law, Sylvester Dickman.
