Middleton-Delores Christine Pronold, age 92, of Middleton, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Middleton.

She was born in Springfield township on the family farm behind the Missouri Tavern on November 10, 1924, the daughter of Clemens Schroeder and Gertrude (Helt) Schroeder.

Delores was united in marriage to Richard Pronold on Oct. 7, 1947 in Ashton. He preceded her in death in 1986. Delores was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church including its women’s society and Alter Guilds. She was involved in the Dane County RSVP volunteer program and worked at Middleton Village for many years in the dietary program.

Delores loved family gatherings, quilting, playing Euchre and traveling. She was always giving to others including donating blood, she had donated over 10 gallons over the years. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and the Middleton Senior Center.

She is survived by three sons, Marvin P. Pronold, Stanley H. Pronold, Michael J. (Carmeletta) Pronold; brother, George Schroeder; three grandchildren, Devon Nash-Pronold, Simone Pronold, Jordan Nash-Pronold. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Pronold; daughter, Julie Ann Pronold; a son, Richard T. Pronold; five sisters, Rosalia Meinholz, Catherine Sternhasen, Caroline Kalschuer, Marie Ziegler, Elizabeth Ziegler; five brothers, Hank Schroeder, Joseph Schroeder, Jack Schroeder, Alphonse Schroeder; Raymond Schroeder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave, Middleton, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, December 12, 2016, and also at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass.

Memorials may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Delores’ name.
