DELORES A. BREITKREUTZ age 88 of Jefferson passed away Thursday April 27, 2017 at the Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson.

She was born on February 28, 1929 in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Herbert and Erna (Gomoll) Wendt.
She married Billy L Breitkreutz on December 10, 1960 he preceded her in death on December 5, 1994.

Delores was a waitress at the C & A Mexihot Restaurant in Jefferson as well as working in the kitchen at Countryside Nursing Home. She also drove bus for LaVigne bus service and a drove van for the Jefferson County Human Services for many years.

Delores enjoyed many things in life but most memorable were the family gatherings especially during the holidays. Delores and her mother would always cook and bake for the family reunions. She also enjoyed fishing, playing miniature golf, and going to the balloon rally’s in Wisconsin Dells. She also enjoyed playing cribbage and euchre, gardening and canning were also an enjoyment of hers.

She is survived by her family; daughters Katherine Hafenstein of Beaver Dam, Sandy (Fred) Thureson of Mason City Iowa. Sons Tom (Penny) Hafenstein of Lake Mills, William Breitkreutz of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Timm (Sheila) Breitkreutz of Jefferson, James Breitkreutz (Jackie Bear) of Jefferson. 13 grandchildren Naomi, Michelle, Norman, Melissa, Michaela , Gina, Rick, Erik, Heather, Jon, Ana, Cady and Lucas and many great grandchildren. Sister Lorraine (Norm) Liebe of Racine, Sister-in-law Marge Wendt Jr. of Jefferson, Brothers Neil (Lillian) Wendt of Lake Mills, Melbourne Wendt of Golden, CO, special friend and longtime companion Roger Erickson, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy, Parents Herbert and Erna Wendt, Brother Herbert Wendt Jr., daughter Cynthia Evans, and daughter-in-law Beth Breitkreutz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 3, 2017 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson, with the Rev. David Zandt officiating burial will follow in the Lake View cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00-11:00 on Wednesday morning.
