Delena “Dee” Spink
OREGON/STOUGHTON, Wis. — Delena “Dee” Spink, age 84, of Oregon, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at her home. She was born on April 15, 1932, in Crawford County, Wis., the daughter of William and Elnora Payne. Dee graduated from Seneca High School in 1951. She married Louie Spink on Aug. 30, 1958, in Soldiers Grove. Dee worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Wisconsin until her retirement. She had a love for reading, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time at her cabin in northern Wisconsin on Little McGraw Lake and adored her nieces and nephews.
Dee is survived by her sisters, Norma (Don) Richmond of Oregon and Elaine Gaston of Waterloo, Iowa; brothers, Wayne Payne of Livingston and Stephen (Connie) Payne of Pine, Colo.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth (Barb) Spink of McFarland, John (Paulette) Spink of McFarland, and Nancy (Don) Smith of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Orva Payne; brother, Vilas Payne; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Donald Gaston, Janet Payne, Elaine Bloomer, Robert Spink, Paul Spink, and Forest (Lois) Faulkes. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 East Netherwood St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, with the Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Burial will be held at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
