Delavan man killed in motorcycle vs. tree crash, officials say
SUGAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Wis. — A Delavan man was killed in a motorcycle vs. tree crash Monday morning, Walworth County officials said.
Walworth County sheriff’s deputies and Elkhorn Fire and Rescue crews were sent around 11:35 a.m. to a motorcycle vs. tree crash at the intersection of County Road H and Sugar Creek Road, according to a release.
The driver, 32-year-old Joshua Faber, of Delavan, was lying next to the tree, deputies said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Faber was driving east on Sugar Creek Road when he didn’t stop at the stop sign on County Road H, continued across the highway and into the ditch, hitting a tree, investigators said.
According to the release, speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
