LA CROSSE/MADISON- David Weigel, age 66, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at UW-Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Sept. 4, 1951, in La Crosse. David graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UW-Madison in 1984. He worked for the City of Madison Streets Department for 29 years and retired in 2009.
Dave loved fishing, buying and selling antiques, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed life and took each day as it came. Dave is survived by his wife, Dori; daughters, Tammie Knights and Jennie Weigel; granddaughter, Parker Knights; mother, Jean Weigel; siblings, Liz Dwyer, Joann Froegel, Nancy (Ron) Engebretson, Peter Weigel, Ann Weigel, Priscilla (Andy) Watson, Tony Weigel, Kathy (Greg) Jirsa, Ben Weigel and Dan Weigel; and many nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Weigel. A celebration of life will take place in the ST. ANDREW SQUARE ROOM at the BOOT HILL PUB, 1501 St Andrew St., La Crosse, Wis., from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
