David Roy Jopke
MADISON- David Roy Jopke, age 58, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
The son of Ervin and Karen Jopke, he was born in Madison on July 11, 1959, and was united in marriage with Laurel Berthold on Aug. 28, 1994.
David was a lifelong train enthusiast and an active member of the Madison Area Pro-Rail Group. He was employed by Wisconsin Physicians Service for over 30 years as a claims pender.
David is survived by his wife, Laurel; his brother,Alan (Carolyn) Auby; and nephews Gregg and Michael Auby. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Scott Auby.
A Celebration of Life will be held at MADISON COMMUNITY SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, 1926 Elka Ln., Madison, where he was a faithful member, at 4 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, with the Rev. Abraham Swamidass presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison Community SDA Church.
