David Rottiger, age 74, of DeForest, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Oak Park Place in Baraboo.
David was born to Raymond and Dorothy (Boll) Rottinger on August 12, 1942. David graduated from Platteville High School and Madison Technical School. He worked in the automotive business for 45 years. He also worked over 40 years at local stock car tracks. His hobby was collecting World of Outlaw diecast cars. David was united in marriage to JoAnn (Henningsen) on May 7, 1971 at the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, Illinois.
David is survived by his 3 sons, Daniel (Barbara) Rottiger of Portage, Wisconsin, Colin Rottiger and Christopher Rottiger of Denver, Colorado; 5 grandsons, Aaron Rottiger of Madison, Peder Rottiger of San Diego, California, Trent, Tyler and Trevor Rottiger of Portage, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Joanne Dorow of Milwaukee; a nephew, Michael Rottiger of Milwaukee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne Rottiger; his parents; and a brother, Carleton Rottiger.
A Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 26, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, with Fr. Dale Grubba presiding. A visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10am until the time of service.
