David George Litscher
David George Litscher, 79, died Friday, March 10 at Sauk Prairie Healthcare.
He was born in the township of Honey Creek to the late Carl and Grace (Sprecher) Litscher.
David volunteered to serve for the US Army from 1959-1961, where he was stationed in Germany.
David was married to Jane (Gruber) Litscher on December 22, 1962. He was a proud farmer for his entire life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lenard Litscher.
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Gruber) Litscher; sisters, Marion Ericksen and Doris Litscher-Gasser; sons, Bryan (Carol) Litscher, Rich (Jill) Litscher, Nathan (Rebecca) Litscher; daughter, Suzanne; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and lifelong friends.
David’s family extends sincere gratitude to the staff at Sauk Prairie Healthcare; particularly Dr.Sarah Niles and nurses Melissa and Cathy. He found peace and pride knowing he was to die on the property that was formerly his farm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 17, 2017 at First United Church of Christ, Sauk City, WI with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the church.
