Danielle Schwantes, age 63, of Spring Hill, FL and formerly of Janesville, WI unexpectedly passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was born on August 29, 1951 in Portage, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Miller) Vosen. Danielle married Herb Schwantes on December 13, 1969 in Merrimac, WI. She had been employed at Bank One in Janesville, JA Craig High School, and GMAD. Danielle was a gifted seamstress and quilter, and enjoyed golfing. She is survived by, her husband, Herb; 2 daughters, Ian (Paul) Pfeiffer of St. Cloud, MN and Kimberly (Steven) Glissendorf of Janesville; 7 grandchildren: Chase, Seth and Parker Glissendorf, JJ, Tommy, Max and Katie Rose Pfeiffer; her mother, Mary Vosen of Ft. Meyers, FL; 6 siblings: Jean Mary (Mike) Lynch of Cambria, WI, Connie (John) Hess of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, Jeff Vosen of Pardeeville, WI, Cindy (Jim) Woodside of Middleton, WI, Karla (Ken) Konkel of Iron River, WI and Brian Vosen of Pardeeville, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Danielle was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Vosen. Danielle continues to be a loving and kind person with her gift of organ donation.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 1245 Clark Street, Janesville, WI 53545 with Mngr.. Donn Heiar presiding. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial to the American Cancer Society for survivors like Danielle’s mother.
