Dane County Humane Society receives 22 puppies, 3 dogs from Mississippi
MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Humane Society received 25 dogs, including 22 puppies, from Mississippi on Tuesday.
The dogs received full vet exams after their arrival and were scheduled to be spayed or neutered in the next few days.
The dogs will be listed on giveshelter.org as they become available for adoption.
The dogs were transferred to Madison through the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals transport program to prevent overcrowding in other shelters. The Dane County Humane Society has dogs transferred to them through ASPCA every other week.
The Dane County Humane Society will also be hosting dog training classes starting Feb. 26, to help people train their puppies.
