Dane County Board chair resigns, appointed interim director of Alliant Energy Center
MADISON, Wis. — Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced Friday morning a new interim director for the county’s Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
Sharon Corrigan will take over as the interim director starting Tuesday through March 15.
Two weeks ago, Mark Clark resigned from the position.
Corrigan will work with Alliant Energy Center clients to help plan the future direction of the campus.
In a news release Thursday night, Corrigan announced her resignation from the Dane County Board.
“I’m going to be leaving the area in May, so it really coincides with that timeline, it works perfectly for that,” Corrigan said Friday during a news conference. “I’m excited about the work that’s going to be done to do a nationwide search to find the right person to lead this facility into the future.”
Corrigan served on the County Board for 10 years, the last six as chair of the board. She announced last year that she would not seek re-election this spring, according to the release.
Parisi said he wants to have a new director within the next three to four months.
