Dane Co. Fair donates more than $5,500 to Second Harvest Foodbank
MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Fair has donated more than $5,500 to Second Harvest Foodbank thanks to a fundraiser from earlier this year.
The two organizations partnered during the fair’s Farm Fresh Day to donate $1 from each admission ticket to Second Harvest’s Adopt A Dairy Cow campaign. The fundraiser aims to provide milk to those experiencing hunger.
“The need for milk and other dairy tends to be great with our partner agencies, so these funds will make a big difference in us being able to provide access to our communities,” Marketing Coordinator for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin Katie Sabalones said.
The Dane County Fair ended up donating a total of $5,675 to Second Harvest.
