Dan L. Richard
Danver “Dan” Lyle Richard, age 57, passed away on Sunday January 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 6, 1956 to Doward and Helen (Emery) Richard. He graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1974. He married Theresa Schingon, she preceded him death. Dan formerly managed the Sauk Prairie School bus system for Johnson and Merrit. Dan worked as a mason for over 25 years. He previously worked for Kramer Bros., Rural Masonry, Selmer Construction of Green Bay, Miron Construction of Madison and himself. He was especially proud of his work in Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Milwaukee Brewers Practice Field in Phoenix, and several houses in the parade of homes in Green Bay. Dan was a member of the Mason and Bricklayers Unions. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Travis (Sue), Ryan (Sarah), and Dana (Eddie) Ruiz; 8 grandchildren, Tammrin, Tristin, Travis Jr., Sawyer, Johanna, Colton, Troy, and Isiah; his dad, Doward; siblings, Rick (Terri), Lea (Rick) Tourdot, Cindy (Mark) Bender, Scott (Joanna); a very dear friend Kathy Battle; his loving dog Maggie; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife Theresa, he was preceded in death by his mom, Helen.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:30 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 115 Madison Street, Sauk City. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, and one hour prior to the service in the church entry on the day of service.
