Cyclist killed by hit-run driver identified
Car involved was stolen,, abandoned after incident
MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office has identified the bicyclist who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Milwaukee.
Ronald Forbes, 57, of Milwaukee was struck by a car about 7 a.m. Monday. The car then fled the scene.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the car was a black Dodge Neon that apparently was stolen.
According to the medical examiner’s report, the Neon and a Chrysler minivan are believed to have been racing just before the bicyclist was struck.
The driver later abandoned the car.
